What is the CBM Conference Middle East?
The CBM Conference Middle East is the continent’s largest conference for condition monitoring professionals. Once every two years, we run a four-day conference during which you will have access to learning sessions, workshops and the latest technologies in the industry all from the comfort of one of Abu Dhabi’s leading hotel and conference centers. It is a fantastic opportunity to improve and update your industry knowledge, discover new technologies or new approaches in the industry and to create new and lasting friendships with peers from across the continent and around the globe.
Who should attend the CBM Conference Middle East?
We invite vibration analysts and condition monitoring professionals from all over the world to attend our new bi-annual conference in Abu Dhabi. But it isn’t just a conference for specialists. Any professional or manager within the industry will find value throughout the conference, whether it is new technology, new ideas or a new approach.
Why should you attend the CBM Conference Middle East?
The CBM Conference Middle East is the only dedicated condition monitoring conference held on the continent. We provide a unique networking opportunity to professionals working throughout the Middle East and beyond to build relationships with peers and colleagues who are facing the same challenges. It is also a fantastic way to discover and hear new experts, products and techniques that can change the way you and your company do business. For many, this is easier said than done. Naturally, your boss will want to understand the return on investment that they can expect from you attending the conference. This isn’t always easy to understand, but the below should be enough to convince them that the CBM Conference Middle East is a worthwhile investment.
You’ll find real solutions to your specific problems
The vibration analysis industry is one of the most fragmented in the world, particularly across a continent as large as Asia. But because this is the leading event for vibration analysis and condition monitoring technologies such as infrared thermography, wear particle, oil analysis, ultrasound and lubrication, you’ll have access to over 30 educational talks across four different areas. As such, you can see what is going on in vibration analysis across the Middle East, and indeed the world, and pick up new strategies that you can use to tackle the problems your company is facing at home.
Meet industry leaders
We seek out industry leaders in the Middle East and across the world. We believe it is important for attendees to learn from the best so we make sure that our presenters and speakers are at the top of their game. But they don’t just talk at you. CBM Conference Middle East offers you the opportunity to sit next to, have lunch with and generally interact with these people across four days.
The CBM Conference Middle East offers several networking opportunities to attendees, including two receptions complete with food and drink, and a main evening dinner that includes entertainment. Meeting other people in your area who are passionate about vibration analysis can be tricky. But we make it easy for professionals from across the Middle East to meet like-minded peers and grow their network across the continent and across the world.
Stay relevant and stay ahead of the curve
In a fragmented industry it can be hard to stay ahead of the curve and keep up with all of the latest industry trends. But that is what the CBM Conference Middle East is here to help with. We have several sessions that are focused on innovation across all of our streams, led by trendsetters, to ensure that you learn all of the latest techniques. But more than this, our exhibition hall is filled with companies and organizations offering the latest products and tools in your market. These Middle Eastern and global manufacturers will showcase their products and solutions over the course of the event, so you can keep your finger on the pulse of the industry. It only takes one conference to stay up to date on the industry, and that conference is the CBM Conference Middle East.
We give you the tools to convince your boss
If you still need help convincing your boss about the value of your conference, you can find a range of tools on our dedicated page.

Vibration Analysis is an excellent technique to identify machine faults through non-destructive testing. Variations in the narrowband vibration spectra can identify a wide range of fault conditions, the severity, and the change over time.
Or thermal imaging, is an affordable, easy to use technology that provides an image where pixel color is related to temperature. It can be used to detect electrical, process & mechanical faults.
- Oil Analysis & Wear Particle
Also known as ferrography, WPA is the microscopic study of wear-related particles suspended in lubricating oil & grease. Identification of particle shape and material type, can provide a very clear and early indication of specific faults.
- Motor Testing
Utilizing motor current measurements, and optionally voltage measurements it is possible to detect a range of faults in the supply voltage, in the stator, rotor, and termination box.
When friction (wear), turbulence and impacts occur, sounds are generated at frequencies above our hearing range. The ultrasound tools can detect these sounds in mechanical, electrical, and process applications.
Key to the life of bearings and gears, and thus the reliability of the machine. If the oil or grease is clean, dry, has the correct chemistry & is applied in the correct volume, those components will deliver trouble-free operation.
- Alignment & Balancing
If the coupled-shafts are “collinear” (have no offset or angle between them) then the load on the shafts, coupling, seals, and bearings will be greatly reduced, thus maximizing their life.
If the rotor is properly balanced, the centrifugal forces will be kept to a minimum, and the machine and structure will suffer less stress and strain as a result, thus improving reliability.
